Patricia A. “Hattie” Hatmaker taught physical education at Issaquah Junior High and Issaquah High School from 1963 to 1999. An award winning teacher and coach, she was known for her great sense of humor and boundless energy, as well as a person who continually sought knowledge and self-improvement. Students knew her as someone who truly cared for them and was a constant source of inspiration and support. Her spirit and determination were never diminished during her four-year battle with multiple myeloma cancer. This is a $2,000 one-time scholarship. The award can be used for tuition, room & board (limited to on campus housing i.e. dorms, fraternities & sororities or other student housing recognized by the college or university) books and supplies, and lab and other class fees.
